Sallee Breaks Ground on $69 Million Flint Trails Community in Gardner, Kansas
Sallee breaks ground on the $69M Flint Trails community in Gardner, Kansas — two- and three-bedroom townhomes for the growing I-35 corridor.

GARDNER, Kan., April 2026 – Sallee Development, a Kansas City-based real estate development company, celebrated the groundbreaking of Flint Trails, a $69 million build-for-rent residential community located in Gardner, Kansas, approximately 30 miles south of Kansas City with convenient access to Interstate 35.
Flint Trails will bring a mix of two- and three-bedroom townhomes to the growing Gardner market, offering residents the space and privacy of a home with the convenience of professionally managed rental living. Homes will feature attached garage options and modern finishes.
The community will also include a range of resort-style amenities designed to enhance quality of life and foster connection among residents, including a clubhouse, swimming pool, pickleball court, and onsite management and maintenance services.

Gardner continues to emerge as one of the fastest-growing communities in the Kansas City metro, driven by its affordability, school district, and proximity to employment opportunities along I-35. As Johnson County expands south, demand for high-quality rental housing has continued to rise, positioning Flint Trails to meet the needs of residents seeking options within the developing area.
The project is being launched in partnership with CommunityAmerica Credit Union, which is working to provide financing support.

Flint Trails is currently under development, with first units planned to be delivered in late 2027.
